Coastal Materials Testing strives to be a leader in the testing and inspection industry by hiring only qualified and certified personnel to conduct its field inspections and laboratory testing. The facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that meets and exceeds the industry standard.
One of the founders of Coastal Materials Testing Lab, LLC, Christine is an integral part of Coastal's success. Her high energy and ability to connect with people along with her business acumen, are the key to her many accomplishments. Christine holds a Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Italian from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.
The other half of our founders, Salah is a driving force behind the success of Coastal. His knowledge of the business, along with his positive relationship with employees and business partners, continues to prove Coastal's achievements.
With over 25 years of experience in the testing and inspection industry, Salah is certified by AWS as Certified Welding Inspector (09010621), Hellier UT Level I and Level II, Troxler, ACI Level I, and ICC (Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector), and ACI Labatory Strength Tecnhician. Salah is proud to be a voting member of the ASTM committee. In addition, Salah has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and M.S. in Computer Science.
Jynx and Bynx's official job is to greet people - but only if they feel like it since they may be napping on top of the file cabinet or looking out the window.

Mike Thomas is Coastal's P.E. with over 20 years experience in design and field inspections. He is licensed in NY and CT. Mike graduated from Purdue Universiity with a BS in Civil Engineering, emphasis in Structural Engineering.
Araceli is the glue who holds the office together. She is the "go-to" person for all, knowing all the parts of the testing and inspection business, along with coordinating the field technicians, billing, writing reports, lab work, and so much more. Araceli does it all with a smile.
In addition, Araceli holds an Associates Degree in Business Management from Housatonic Community College and a Nuclear Gauge Safety USDOT HAZMAT certification.
Larry has 43 years experience in the testing and inspection industry. His qualifications include, but are not limited to, concrete, reinforcing steel, and soils. He is certified by ACI as a Level I and Level II (Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector), and Troxler.
